1 Ⅰ. 서 론 플라스틱은 초경량에 내구성이 강한 장점이 있다. 이로 인해 세계 플 라스틱 생산량은 1950년대 2백만 톤이었으나, 2015년에는 4억 7백만 톤 으로 65년 동안 2백배 이상 증가하였다 Geyer, Jambeck, and Law, 2017 또한 1950년부터 2015년까지 65년 동안 플라스틱 폐기물 발생량 은 6,300백만 톤으로 이 중 77% 4,900만 톤 가 매립되거나 버려진 것으 로 추정된다. 현재의 추세가 지속될 경우 2050년 330억 톤이 될 것으로 예상된다 Geyer, Jambeck, and Law, 2017 그러나 플라스틱 폐기물에 대한 재활용은 1990년 초에 시작되어, 그 이후 매년 평균 0.7%씩 증가 하여 현재 20%의 재활용률을 보이고 있다. 선진국의 경우 폐기물...
